Monday - Wells and Walsingham

I started out with the intention of visiting Wells Next the Sea but then discovered the railway as well. It was a wet day but having first had a wander round the town itself (which also has a railway although I declined a ride) and got wet from a heavy rain shower I took a trip on the Wells and Walsingham Light Railway. At 4 miles long this is the longest 10 1/4" gauge railway in the world. Having journeyed to Walsingham and back by train I then drove up to Walsingham and returned to site via Binham Priory and the town of Holt.

The railway website is at http://www.wellswalsinghamrailway.co.uk/ and there's more on Binham Priory at http://www.binhampriory.org/
