Tuesday - Muckleburgh & Thursford

The Muckleburgh Collection is best known for its heavy vehicles, but there's lots more to see. It was a cold, wet morning and I was glad to be inside. The only problem is everything was so packed in I didn't get any photos so there's only a few from outside. From there I went to the Thursford Collection for more steam engines, I was a bit disappointed though as it seems to be more about the fairground and Wurlitzer organ playing than the engines themselves, and the low lighting didn't help. I finished up with a visit to Baconsthorpe Castle, actually a fortified manor house.

More details for each of these are at http://www.muckleburgh.co.uk/, http://www.thursford.com/ and http://www.english-heritage.org.uk/visit/places/baconsthorpe-castle/
