Ecclesbourne Valley Railway

This is a bit of a mix of a Community Railway and a Heritage Line. The main length is run by a diesel railcar service and attracts both tourists and people travelling for business or pleasure, linking with the Midland main line at Duffield. The weather was poor for my visit which limited the photo opportunities but it was worth the visit. Apart from the run from Duffield to Wirksworth the main attraction is the incline from Wirksworth up to Ravenstor - apparently the steepest standard gauge traction line in the country at 1 in 27.
