Another departure from the railway theme here! When you set the satnav to "winding route" you're never sure what you might find. Eggleston Abbey lies just outside Barnard Castle on a narrow winding road. It's free to enter. The odd thing here was the couple who had arrvied in separate Rover 75s and were sitting in a car park having a picnic (complete with tartan flasks). The Rover Owners' Club may be a bit racier than one would expect!
