Sunday - Home to Glasgow

At the time I travelled Northampton Station was in the middle of a full, much overdue, rebuild so it wasn't the best place to start a holiday. The cheap ticket deal meant changing at Rugby which wasn't much better, but as the Glasgow train started from there I could at least get on and settled. The quiet coach was very quiet, only 3 of us on board at the start. We had a bit of a chat before settling down for the journey. Once in Glasgow I walked up to my hotel for the night, one of the Premier Inns. The only frustration was I left my walking pole on the train and it didn't reappear despite a couple of visits to the lost luggage office.
